LUANAR : 2018 Call For Applications Into Bridging Programme
The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for admission into its Bridging Programme commencing on 11th September to 13th October 2017.
1. Eligibility for Bridging Programme/who should apply?
a. The Bridging Programme is open to those who have been selected into Public Universities but choose to gain pre-university experience before admission. The programme will further enhance knowledge in Basic Courses which may be challenging to those that will enter first year at University. Normally the candidates will have credits in six subjects including English.
b. Applicants should be those with Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent obtained in not more than two sittings in the recent past two years.
c. Students under generic or ODL are also eligible to apply.
d. The university interpretation of IGSCE and O-Level as an equivalent to MSCE is as follows:
IGSCE; A+ =1, A=2, B=3, C=5, D=7, E=8, F=9
GCE O-Level; A=1, B=3, C=5, D=7; E=8
2. Bridging Programme Outline
Successful applicants shall be enrolled and register for six courses. The following courses are offered during the Bridging Programme:
1. Mathematics
2. Physics
3. Chemistry
4. Biology
5. Communication Skills
6. Computer Applications
3. Bridging Programme Fee
The Tuition fee for the Bridging Programme is MK100,000.00 for the whole duration : 11th September to 13th October 2017
Accommodation MK40,000.00
Medical fee MK5,000.00
The tuition and all other fees should be deposited in the University’s City Campus bank account as outlined below:

4. Method of Application
Application forms are available at the University City Campus, MACOHA and ENERGEM campuses Secretariat.
Application forms can also be downloaded through the internet by accessing the university website at www.luanar.ac.mw
Applicants are also required to pay an application fee of MK5,000.00
