IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS
Non-refundable Application fee:
Mauritian and SADC Nationals: Rs 700
Non-SADC Nationals: Rs 2,000
A tablet with soft copies of materials will be given to undergraduate and postgraduate learners. Hard copies of materials can be purchased.
Undergraduate and Postgraduate learners are eligible for two free employability skills courses, one per year, to be opted within one week after the Induction.
Except for PhD and DBA learners, the Induction Session for undergraduate and postgraduate learners (ODL) shall be held on Saturday 2 Feb 2019 from 09.00 to 13.00 (tentatively). The final invitation and programme for Induction shall be emailed only to REGISTERED Leaners who have settled first semester fees.
Face-to-face sessions for ODL learners will be held at Réduit or Forest Side SSS or OU Campus Curepipe (OUCC) or Royal College Curepipe. Usual hours for
ODL sessions: Saturdays, 08 30 – 17 00.
Attendance at face-to-face sessions is recommended but not compulsory, unless specified.
PhD and DBA students have to attend a series of classes during the first semester at OU, Réduit, after office hours, on Saturdays or on Sundays as may be required.
DBA students have to attend classes during 2nd semester as well.
Application for exemption should be submitted at the time of application, on a form available on OU’s website.
OU reserves the right not to offer a particular course/programme/specialisation depending on the number of learners enrolled.
International learners need to incur additional costs related to postage of materials/tablet; exams arrangements made in relation to an approved centre in
their countries of residence; and inland travel (if any)
