Mzuzu University Call For Application 2020
Old Mutual Malawi in conjunction with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Mzuzu University invites interested secondary schools to participate in the 2020 Old Mutual Mathematics Olympiad.
The competition will be held from Friday, 20th December, 2019 to Monday, 23rd December, 2019 in Mzuzu. This follows successful 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Old Mutual Mathematics Olympiads.
The 2020 Old Mutual Mathematics Olympiad is open to top Form Four (or equivalent) mathematics students from schools across the country. They will compete for various prizes in form of cash, trophies and Mathematics textbooks for their schools after taking a series of examinations at preliminary, semi-final and final stages. You may wish to take note of the following with regards to the 2020 competition:
Each interested school may nominate at most two Form Four (or equivalent) students. Any student who participated in any of the previous Olympiads is not eligible for nomination.
2. Names of nominated students should be sent by 6th December, 2019 through the email address oldmutualmathematics@mzuni.ac.mw with a copy to kumwenda.k@mzuni.ac.mw. The names may also be submitted through Dr N. Mumba (0999 35 30 02/ 0884 20 17 50) or Ms R Mughogho (0999 26 18 28).
3. Participating students will be provided with meals, accommodation and refunds for return transport costs from schools. 4. Teachers wishing to accompany their students will have to meet costs of transport. Meals and accommodation will be provided. Each participating school may send only one teacher. 5.
