The Lesotho Institute of Accountants (L.I.A.) was established by the Accountants Act of 1977, which gives the Institute the mandate of regulating the Accountancy practice in Lesotho.

Botho University at; LePAP is a unique programme, internationally and locally accredited, which allows specialization at Chartered Accounting Stage to either follow Private or Public Sector route depending on one’s interest. This is a one (1) year programme offered on a part time basis. Upon completion of the theory component, candidates are required to undergo a compulsory experiential training pre-arranged by Lesotho Institute of Accountants (LIA)
