1 This Invitation for Bids (IFB) follows the Specific Procurement Notice (SPN) for this Project that appeared on the PPDA webpagewww.ppda.mw on the 29th of December 2020),
2 The University of Malawi, Chancellor College has received funds from the Malawi Government towards the cost of Construction of Administration office block and Associated External Works. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this funding will be applied to eligible payments under the contract number CC/ADM/01/CW/12/2020
3 The University of Malawi, Chancellor College invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction works as in the table below:

4 Bidders must be registered with National Construction Industry Council of Malawi (NCIC) in the un-limited category as a Building Contractor in the current fiscal year (2020/2021). Please note that attendance to pre-bid meeting is not mandatory and each bidder will be provided with attendance certificate.
5 Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the following office;

6 A complete set of biding documents may be obtained upon payment of a non-refundable fee of K50, 000.00. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions are those of the Malawi Government National Competitive Bidding (NCB) Documents for Procurement of Works,
7 Bids must be delivered to the above offices by depositing in a tender box located at Porters Lodge/Reception no later than 5th February, 2021 before 10:00Hrs.
8 Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 10:10 Hours on 5th February, 2021 in the Board room at the Chancellor College in Zomba, Malawi.
