Check My NECO Exam Result Release date @ How to Check: The National Examinations Council (also known as NECO) is an examination body in Nigeria that conducts the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination and the General Certificate in Education in June/July and December/January respectively. NECO:
NECO was mandated to take over the responsibilities of the National Board of Education Measurement (NBEM). Its maiden examination took place in mid-2000.
NECO was to take exclusive charge of the conduct of the SSCE for school-based candidates while WAEC Nigeria was to take charge of the same examination for private candidates. NECO was to conduct its maiden SSCE in mid-2000.
NECO Exam:
The National Examinations Council (NECO) Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) (internal and external), Junior Secondary Certificate Examination (JSCE) and National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE).
SSCE 2021:
Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE): This is the examination conducted in the final year of Secondary School Education. SSCE is divided into two categories. One is for final year candidates in senior secondary education called SSCE Internal and the other one is SSCE External is for Private Candidates.
BECE
Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE): BECE is conducted for candidates in their third year of Junior Secondary School. It’s also known as Junior Secondary Certificate Examination (JSCE). Private secondary schools also take part in JSCE.
NCEE
National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE): The National Common Entrance Examination is administered to pupils in their 6th year of basic education for admission into Federal Unity Colleges. Two examinations are held annually.
