Application requirements

Bachelor of Science (Nursing)

If you’re looking to apply for our Bachelor of Science (Nursing) (B-NURS), please refer to our admission criteria before completing your application.

Comprehensive Nursing Stream

This program is for applicants without a previous Nursing qualification. Upon completion of this course graduates may seek Nursing registration within Australia.

Applicants for this stream must complete an English language Declaration Form. Please check here for details of the course English requirement.

Enrolled nurses

Enrolled Nurse to Registered Nurse Stream

This program is for applicants currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an enrolled nurse and hold a completed Diploma in Enrolled Nursing.

Please submit the following documents with your application:

  • Academic transcript and award certificate
  • Proof of professional registration

This course has limited student places. Places will be offered to eligible applicants who submit a complete application, until all places have been offered. For this reason, we recommend early application.

Registered Nurse Conversion Australian Registration Stream

This program prepares registered nurses without current registration in Australia for registration. Internationally qualified nurses with current registration may seek registration within Australia after successful completion of this program.

I want to complete the Registered Nurse Conversion Program which leads to registration with AHPRA as a Division 1 Nurse (registered nurse).

Applicants must have a minimum of three months of work experience as a registered nurse in the last five years in an acute setting.

Please submit the following documents with your application:

  • Academic transcript and award certificate
  • Resume
  • Completed Nursing Conversion Checklist and Statement of Employment
  • Proof of current overseas professional registration
  • Your job description (please ensure this is printed on the organisation’s official letterhead).
  • Applicants for this stream must complete an English language Declaration Form. Please check here for details of the course English requirement.

I want to complete the Registered Nurse Conversion Program but don’t want AHPRA registration.

Registered Nurse Conversion – Non-Registration Stream

This program advances the qualification to bachelor level for diploma qualified registered nurses who are already registered in Australia.

Applicants must have a minimum of three months of work experience as a registered nurse in the last five years in an acute setting.

Applicants should be aware that nursing can be a demanding course, with a number of Inherent Requirements for students. Applicants are expected to have read the Inherent Requirements and self-assessed their suitability and capacity to complete the course.
