Eligibility Criteria | Chinese Government Scholarship at Harbin Institute of Technology
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must ensure that they meet the following criteria;
Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health both mentally and physically;
Be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for a master’s degree program;
Be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for a doctoral degree program;
Have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level-4 when applying for a Chinese-taught master’s or doctoral degree program;
Hold minimum requirements set by HIT in academic ability, language proficiency, and other relevant criteria.

Highest full-time study diploma (original notarized document in English or Chinese).
Transcripts (It is not required to be notarized, but must be signed and sealed by the school. The transcripts in other languages must be translated into English or Chinese with notarization).
A study or research plan (not less than 800 words in English or Chinese). The format can be downloaded from the official website.
Two recommendation letters by professors or associate professors in English or Chinese.
Passport copy (Valid for one year at least).
Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
