The Rabdan Academy was officially established under Law No. 7 in 2013, issued by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as Ruler of Abu Dhabi. It is accredited by the UAE’s Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the Ministry of Education.

What Is Meant By Rabdan?
It is derived from the word (Rabda) which means a dusty black colour. The reason for the naming: The horses were named with this word because the first person to own a horse from this bloodline chased an ostrich while riding on its back and caught it.
