Savuti Airport is an airport serving the Chobe National Park in the North-West District of Botswana. The runway is 4.5 kilometres north of the village and campsites of Savuti.
When you arrive the Savuti airstrip keep your eyes peeled for wildlife. As the charter plane arrives you will often see a variety of plains game scurrying off the runway. On occasion you might spot an elephant exploring the area.
Our runway is quite the drawcard for a plethora of game – this dazzle of zebra delighted us with their presence during the summer months, and we’re looking forward to witnessing more unusual sightings over the coming weeks.
