About PACT College
PACT College is a Malawi Government accredited professional courses tuition provider. PACT was established on 19th November 1995 at Chichiri Tutorial Centre in Blantyre, Malawi. The institution owes its foundation to the bold and inspired vision of Mr James F Undi (BCom; MBA; FCCA; FCMA; CPA(Mw) and Mr Fraser Chipala (MBA; FCCA; CPA(Mw))
PACT College opened its doors on 19th November, 1995 with 5 students on the first day, operating at Chichiri Tutorial Centre.
The College is now located in Kanjedza, near Police Training School. Initially it started with 3 students on the first day operating at Chichiri Tutorial Centre At the inception, the College offered single subjects courses examined by Royal Society of Arts.
After three years, Certificate in Financial Accounting (CIFA) examined by Malawi Public Accountants Examination Council (PAEC), now The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM), was introduced.
Following successful introduction of CIFA, the College added PAEC (now ICAM) Accounting Technician (Diploma in Accounting) and Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) examined by Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) of the United Kingdom.
We reached the climax when we introduced ACCA Professional courses in January 2003, offering a complete Chartered Accountant’s course.
Over the years, the intake of students increased and as of now with full-fledged departments offering undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programmes, the College has over 2,000 students, teaching staff and 19 non-teaching staff.
The growth also saw the opening of Lilongwe Campus in 2009. This campus is located behind Msonkhamanja CCAP Church and our offices are in Old Town, in Mipondo Building.
PACT College is customer oriented and responds favourably to the demands of the public.
In July 2010, Day release (Mon- Friday) courses were introduced at its Chitawira Campus, following demand by parents, guardians and prospective students.
This mode of study is registering an increased number of students and as at 2nd March, 2012 total number of students registered were 610.
Ever since the inception, the College has maintained its eminence as a leading Business Accounting Learning Centre in Malawi. The college ranks among the top in the country in the quality of its graduates and in the number of top jobs held by its graduates. With such an eminence in the academic and curricular activities, the college is the most sought after Private Business College in the country.
