Wadabwa took his tally to 9 goals in 13  games as Wanderers  kept their hopes of  finishing top five  alive before the end of the first round and title push in the second round of the campaign.

Despite missing the services of some key players due to injuries, the Nomads made sure to ultilise their chances in the first half as Wadabwa received an intelligent pass from Jimmy Zakazaka before he planted the ball in the soldiers net.

Wadabwa was at in again this time around through a powerful header to send the Nomads fans on cloud nine, as they chanted Wadabwa! Wadabwa.

Kamuzu Barracks, who resorted in aerial balls were dis-jointed in defence and midfield as they failed to keep the ball on the carpet.

The only players, who tried to make things happen were Harvey Mkacha and Dave Banda, with their long ranges shots, but Nenani Juwayo found them easy to tame.

In recess time, it was 2-0 in favour of the Nomads.

Come second half, the class of  Eding’ton Ng’onamo switched from silky attack in the first half to gritty determined defence in the second.

The Nomads defence stood firmly as Kamuzu Barracks striking force looked dis-jointed and lacking composure inside the box.

Wanderers have themselves to blame for failing to score more than two goals, especially in the 75th minute when Isaac Kaliati’s pass was mis-judged by Wadabwa who shoot wide.

Some changes were made from both sides, and the notable one being the introduction Ishmael Thindwa, who has been off due to an injury. He was fantastic on the ball with brilliant passes and turns.

Another notable thing during the game was the sending off of Kamuzu Barracks coach Billy Phambala for exchanging bitter words with the assistant referee.

The Nomads defender Boston Kabango was also shown a red card after the game for uttering some bitter words to the assistant referee.

Kabango complained to the assistant referee for awarding Kamuzu Barracks a penalty after he handled the ball in the box.

This was Kamuzu Barracks last game in the first round, as the Nomads have been left with two games against Epac FC and Mzuni FC to wrap up the first round.
