Nyasa Bullets fire coach Ndawa: Tewesa not spared

Malawi champions Nyasa Big Bullets  have parted company with coach Franco Ndawa and also sacked technical director Billy Tewesa  after crisis executive meeting.
Bullets spokesman Kelvin Moyo said the club executive met on Sunday  afternoon  and resolved to sack Ndawa owing to the dismal run of results this term.
“The crisis meeting was called to evaluate the team’s recent performance both in cups and league matches,” Moyo said.
He said the results have not been good enough this season and believe it is in the best interests of both Bullets and coach Ndawa to go our separate ways.
Bullets thanked Ndawa for his “ immense contribution” after guiding the club to Presidential Cup glory.
The club also terminated the contract of  technical director  Tewesa. They also reviewed the role of team manager Rahim Ishmael with recommendations to have him replaced.
The final match of Ndawa’s era at Bullets was the loss to Mafco in Carlsberg Cup last Saturday.
Ndawa said it is “unfair dismissal”.

But Tewesa said he welcomes his sacking , saying “I have done my part, but Bullets will  have to honour contractual obligations.”
