The Polytechnic : Opening Of 2016/2017 Academic Year
The Polytechnic Management would like to inform candidates who were selected for the 2016/2017 intake to pursue their studies at The Polytechnic that the academic year will commence on Monday, 26th September 2016.
FEES PAYMENT
All students are required to pay fees in full or in two instalments to the following bank account:

All deposit slips must be brought to the College Cashier and a receipt shall be issued. Clearly indicate student name, program of study and year of study on the bank deposit slip. Please note that the college does not accept cash or cheque payments for fees at its accounts office.
Fees details: MK400 000.00
REGISTRATION
Every student MUST register if one is to be recognized as a student of the University of Malawi. The Policy of the University of Malawi is “no fees no registration”, as such only those students who would have paid the required fees will be allowed to register within the registration period thereafter; no more registration will be allowed. Students are informed to take the registration process very seriously as there shall be no extension of registration after the two week period.
Please note that registration period for registration will be from 26th September to 7th October 2016.
ACCOMMODATION
The College has limited space for accommodation and the cost of accommodation per semester is as
follows:
MK48, 000.00 for those residing on main campus
MK40, 000.00 for those residing at Chichiri and Poly Ally hostels
All students who have been given accommodation are expected to pay the rentals indicated in
advance to the bank account mentioned above and follow the procedure accordingly. Failure to pay
for the accommodation by 22nd September 2016 implies that you no longer need the
accommodation and hence it will be allocated to another student.
Those who have not been given college accommodation are advised to find accommodation before
the opening date.
