Police in Nathenje have arrested 12 villagers for allegedly causing a havoc that led to the damaging of different properties at Nathenje Trading Centre in Lilongwe. The incident occurred on Sunday, 20 November, 2016 at around 1100 hours.
Brief facts are that, on the day in material, villagers from Phatha Village,Traditional Authority Chadza of Lilongwe district led by Group Village Headman Chakwawa invaded Nathenje Police alleging that police had in their custody a certain person who died last year and had resurrected.

Police officers who were on duty at that time tried to convince them that they had no such a person but the villagers in question could not understand. In attempt to quash the reigning mind of the villagers, police officers reached the extent of taking group village headman Chakwawa to see into cells himself in which he found no such alleged person.
