JOB PURPOSE

To manage estates development and maintenance services.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Preparing master plans for development based on College vision and needs
  2. Writing building project proposals
  3. Giving guidance on land acquisition
  4. Liaising with partners in development on matters relating to civil works
  5. Designing building and renovation plans
  6. Tendering out services through Procurement Office and IPC
  7. Supervising construction
  8. Preparing consultants’ briefs and recommending to IPC through Procurement Office
  9. Managing contracts in consultation with Procurement Office
  10. Ensuring quality control in new infrastructure development, rehabilitation and maintenance works
  11. Assessing and certifying completed works
  12. Preparing evaluation reports of construction, rehabilitation   and maintenance works.
  13. Supervising all maintenance works on campus (buildings and equipment) and residential houses.
  14. Participating in different College Committees and activities which include Housing Committees, Internal procurement Committee, College Finance and Development Committee
  15. Initiating aesthetic ways of face lifting the existing built facilities.
  16. Monitoring and evaluating outsourced estates related services.
  17. Supervising and appraising staff

Auto CAD, Arch CAD, Micro Station, Auto Desk, Microsoft office

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must possess a Bachelors degree in a relevant field and relevant work experience of not less than 3 years.
