The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following post:
FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE:
Post No. 3640: Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
●A PhD with not less than five years teaching experience in Agricultural Economics courses.
●Extensive record in research and publishing in Agricultural Economics and other Economics related fields.
●Background in Environmental Economics and quantitative methods: Econometrics, Mathematical Economics, Sector-wide modeling and Economy-wide modeling (I-O,SAM, CGE).
●Experience in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
●Management and leadership experience at the institution of higher learning.
Duties:
In addition to developing and teaching various courses in Agricultural economics, the candidate will be expected to resuscitate the MSc. Programme in the Department, initiate research and mentor junior staff in the department and contribute to further development of the Department and faculty of Agriculture as a whole.
The candidate will be expected to carry out administrative and any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Head of the Department and the Dean of the Faculty.

The University offers salaries and other benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable for Locals and Contract for Non – Locals.
