Blantyre Synod Elects New Moderator Replacing Reverend Chimkwezule

The Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) Blantyre Synod has elected new moderator Reverend Masauko Mbolembole replacing Reverend Rabson Chimkwezule who has retired.
The election was conducted by the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) officials and was peaceful not like the previous elections marred by violence and political interference especially the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

During the elections, Reverend Mbolembole outclassed Reverend Edna Navaya with 187 votes to 132.
Mbolembole will be deputized by Reverend Miriam Chipeta -Banda of Blantyre North Presbytery.
Reverend Moyenda Kanjerwa was retained as deputy general secretary when he defeated Reverend Anderson Juma with 333 votes against 97.
