The Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) is happy to accept applications for the  NEH Senior Research Fellowship Program in the humanities. The US and International applicants are welcome to take advantage of this program.
The Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) is a private not-for-profit federation of independent overseas research centers that promote advanced research.
Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
 Level: Fellowships are available to pursue research.
Study Subject: The NEH Senior Research Fellowship supports advanced research in the humanities. Fields of study include, but are not limited to, history, philosophy, religious studies, literature, literary criticism, and visual and performing arts. In addition, research that embraces a humanistic approach and methods will be considered.

Scholarship Award: Fellowship stipends are $4,200 per month for a maximum of four months.
Scholarship can be taken in Scholars must carry out research in a country which hosts a participating American overseas research center. Eligible countries for 2017-2018 are Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Cyprus, Georgia, Indonesia, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Senegal, Sri Lanka or Tunisia.
Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:

  • Applicants must be US citizens or foreign nationals who have resided in the US for three years prior to the application deadline.
  • Applicants must be postdoctoral scholars.
  • Funding is not available for research conducted in the US.
  • It is not required that you be affiliated with a US academic institution to apply.
