Africa University Call for Articles-JOPPA

JOURNAL OF PUBLIC POLICY IN AFRICA (JOPPA)

Submissions are invited for publication in the Journal of Public Policy in Africa (JOPPA) Volume 7 Issue 1 before 30 September 2019.
JOPPA is published by Africa University in partnership with the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA).The journal provides an alternative space for Africans who want to challenge the success of neo-liberalism and craft material that can be used by the people as a resource to enhance the public-policy capacity (empowerment) of state and non-state actors; and to contribute to the projects of democracy and development. It also provides an opportunity for showcasing success stories of public policy in Africa.
The journal focuses on the interface between practice and theory and bridge the perceived disconnect that exists between practitioners and academics. There is currently a push towards consultancy research work rather than academic or political research work resulting in the trend to generate quick research just for publication. JOPPA will help address this by promoting work that seeks to change the realities of populations that are most disadvantaged on our continent, by analysing some of the key public policy challenges the continent faces today.

GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS
Manuscript Preparation
The journal welcomes articles, case reviews, statute reviews, book reviews, practitioner pieces, commentaries and other original submissions. Submissions should be original contributions, not previously published and should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submissions will be subjected to plagiarism checks.
