Doctors of the World – Switzerland (MdM-CH) is a humanitarian organisation that works in Switzerland and internationally to establish sustainable access to health for the benefit of excluded people.

Its main areas of intervention are Primary Health Care (PHC) and Sexual, Reproductive Health (SRH).
MdM-CH launched in 2019 activities in Chimanimani District, following the devastation left by Cyclone Idai in March 2019.The project’s main objective is to contribute to the recovery of people’s health and wellbeing in Chimanimani District.

This project is carried out in direct partnership with TSURO Trust and the Ministry of Health.
As part of this project, in order to be able to count on infrastructure that meets the needs of the population, MdM-CH would like to proceed to a survey of four (04) existing Rural Health Centres in order to record structural damage these structures sustained and plan rehabilitation works.
Purpose of the Call for Expression of Interest
Based on visits and preliminary assessments by the Government and its partners, the health facilities were found to have sustained major and minor damage as a result of Cyclone Idai.

The following immediate activities for the consultancy have been identified: Detailed assessment of the extent of the damage to each Health Centre (specific list of the health centres in question will be provided to interested applicants), in collaboration with the authorities and the Swiss donor; Production of a detailed technical bill of quantities for rehabilitation works, validated by the authorities and the Swiss donor; Elaboration of an approach to the rehabilitation works themselves: how and when they can be completed.
