Mzuzu University Intake for Bachelor of Arts Degree Programme in Sports Management for 2020/2021 Academic Year

Mzuzu University is inviting applications for admission from suitably qualified mature candidates to pursue a Bachelor of Arts Degree programme in Sports Management for the 2020/2021 Academic Year.

The Bachelor of Arts (Sports Management) is a four-year face-to-face programme targeting ambitious sports enthusiasts wishing to pursue a career in sports management across all sports codes: marketing, facilities management, sports event management, athletics administrators, district and community sports administration.

The programme will provide for multiple entry options as follows:
4-year duration: candidate will be expected to have a certificate in sports or a sport – related discipline with an MSCE or its equivalent with at least six credits. Those with relevant work experience will have an added advantage.
3 – year duration: candidates will be expected to have a Diploma in Sports Management or Sports related discipline from a recognized institution. Those with relevant experience will have added advantage.

Please note that the university will explore a provision for bridging courses where candidates with requisite tertiary training and relevance experience fall short of entry requirements to a desired entry level

Mode of Delivery
The programmes are offered during weekends, fortnightly, as follows:
Friday 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm = 6 hours
Saturday 7:00 am – 12:00 pm = 5 hours
1:00 pm – 6:00 pm = 5 hours
Sunday 7:00 am – 12:00 pm = 5 hours

TUITION FEES
Fees for the programme is K400, 000. 00 per academic year.
Please note that fees is subject to revision as may be determined by Council from time to time, with or without notice.
Most programmes also require students to do research projects and other academic related requirements. Candidates should therefore prepare for these additional costs. Detailed costs will be available to the successful students at a later stage.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Applications should be sent by post or delivered by hand at Mzuzu University Campus in the Registry. All applicants should complete a Mzuzu University 2020/2021 Admission Application Form and attach applicable copies of the following documents:
a) Copies of their academic qualifications,
b) Previous academic record (transcripts),
c) MSCE or equivalent certificates,
d) Curriculum vitae, and
e) A copy of the application fee bank deposit slip

Application forms can be obtained from the Porters Lodge or Registry at Mzuzu University Campus or downloaded from the website www.mzuni.ac.mw
Completed applications should be returned with a non-refundable admission application fee of K10,000 for Malawian applicants and US$ 150 for international applicants. Applications submitted without the admission application fee will be disqualified.
