Fees and Finances

  • Tuition fees shown are the total cost for completion of studies, based on the minimum credits required to graduate.
  • Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents fees are exclusive of GST and subsidised by the Ministry of Education.
  • International Students and Non-Subsidised fees are inclusive of 7% GST.

Integrated Work Study Programme

Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP) provides students with the opportunity to undertake real work. Held over the span of six weeks, it is designed to be more in-depth than a traditional internship. You will gain real work experience and apply the theories you learn in class with actual practice.

Overseas Immersion Programme

In this programme, students are expected to complete a four-week overseas immersion in Glasgow, United Kingdom. It is mandatory for all students to complete the Overseas Immersion Programme (OIP) where they have to attend two weeks of taught seminars and two weeks of clinical observation in the overseas context.

Eligibility and Exemption

SIT selects candidates for this programme using a holistic approach that considers passion and suitability for the profession, academic achievement, co-curricular involvement and medical clearance. Short-listed candidates will be invited for interviews. Students applying for entry to the Bachelor of Science with Honours in Nursing programme should:

  • Be qualified as a Registered Nurse
  • Hold current registration with the SNB
  • Have successfully completed an SNB-accredited Diploma in Nursing programme in Singapore with a GPA of 3 or above. Only these two diplomas are accredited:
    • Nanyang Polytechnic: Diploma in Nursing
    • Ngee Ann Polytechnic: Diploma in Health Sciences (Nursing)

Singapore’s 5th university, the Singapore Institute of Technology is offering its Bachelor of Science in Nursing jointly with the University of Glasgow—one of Scotland’s 4 oldest universities, and part of the illustrious Russell Group. The programme was co-created with the Ministry of Health and practice partners.

Programme Duration: Full-time basis, 2 years (with Honours)

Accreditation: The degree is accredited by SNB.

Curriculum: You will study modules such as Development in Nursing Practice, Managing Long Term Conditions in Communities, Teaching, Learning and Assessing in Healthcare. You will also get to choose from electives (Palliative and End-of-life Care, Introduction to Data Analytics in Healthcare, Health Systems — Global Perspectives) during your final year and undergo a 6-week Integrated Work Study Programme.

Course Fees (2019/2020): SGD 20,640 for Singaporeans, 40,400 for PRs, 54,570 for international students

Prospects: Students can advance to become Senior Staff Nurses, Educators, Managers, and Clinicians. Should you choose to further your studies, you can expect chances to assume more senior positions such as Director of Nursing.
