The Scholarship programme for students fleeing the war in Ukraine is a subprogramme of the programme “Development Related Postgraduate Courses”. It is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and managed by the German Academic Exchange service. Its goal is to provide Master’s scholarships to students who are nationals of Ukraine or originate from a country on the DAC list and whose studies are interrupted because of the war in Ukraine. Scholarship holders are given the opportunity to take a Master’s degree at a state or state-recognized German university to obtain a university qualification in Germany.
The Master of Science in International Health (MScIH) focuses on poverty-related health problems in low and middle-income countries and provides funding for students to study in Germany.

DAAD-EPOS Scholarship in International Health | DETAILS
The scholarship program aims to provide funding for students with a solid foundation in international public health principles and to equip them with the knowledge and competencies necessary to run and initiate sustainable programmes for disease control, health promotion, and health services development across a wide range of populations and countries.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the DAAD-EPOS Masters of Science in International Health Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must have completed a four-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) in a Public Health relevant discipline.
- At least one year of relevant work experience, including Public Health experience in low- and middle-income settings.
- Must meet the admission criteria of the higher education institution applying for admission.
- Demonstrate excellent academic and research abilities.
