(i) BSc Honours in Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Agriculture, Food Science and Technology and Nutritional Sciences, Medical/Veterinary Science, Honours Medical Laboratory Sciences with a minimum 2.2 degree class from a recognizable institution. 

(ii) Special/ Mature applicants need to have an Honours degree with a minimum 3 degree class and have relevant work experience in the field of study. The Department may recommend the writing of a qualifying examination which requires a minimum of 65%.

(i) Normal Entry: 

A BSc Honours Degree in Applied Statistics/Statistics with a degree class of 2.1 or better or an equivalent degree. 

(ii) Special Entry: 

A BSc Honours Degree with a major in Statistics with a 2.1 or better from this University or an equivalent degree will be required to upgrade that degree to a BSc Honours Degree in Statistics. An applicant with a BSc Honours Degree in Applied Statistics/Statistics with a degree class of 2.2 may be considered for admission with a minimum of two years of relevant postgraduate work experience, the applicant would be required to write a qualifying examination and pass that examination with a degree class of 2.1 or better. 

(i) Normal Entry: 

A BSc Honours Degree in Actuarial Science from this University with a degree class of 2.2 or better or an equivalent degree.
