The Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) Council is pleased to announce the following names of candidates who have been selected to pursue various programmes of the University for the 2016/2017 academic year.
MUST has selected 458 candidates into its ten generic undergraduate programmes. Of the selected candidates, 340 are males and 118 are females, representing 74% males and 26% females.  These candidates have been selected in line with Government policy on admission of students into public universities in Malawi.   1. Opening Date

All successful candidates who will have applied for accommodation on campus are requested to report to MUST on Sunday 7th August 2016.  Registration and orientation will start on Monday 8th August 2016.

  1. Transport to MUST campus

The University bus shall be available at Illovo in Limbe on Sunday 7th August 2016 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm to ferry candidates who will be resident on campus.

  1. Fees

All the successful candidates will be required to pay K360,000.00 tuition fees per annum. The same can be paid in two equal installments of K180,000.00 per semester.  The University’s policy is no fees no registration.

  1. Accommodation

The successful candidates are further advised that the University has adequate bed space to accommodate all the selected students in its new hostels within the campus provided they are willing to pay the accommodation fee of K60,000 per academic year (K30,000 per semester). Candidates who would like to be considered for accommodation should complete an application form available on MUST website or submit a written application to the University Registrar.

  1. Meals

The University has a cafeteria that is operated by a private service provider. Arrangements for meals can therefore be made through the office of the Assistant Registrar (Academic) on 0999875665.

  1. Government Loans/Grants

Candidates are further advised that those who are not able to pay their fees shall be eligible to apply for either Government Loan or Grant from the Higher Education Students Loans and Grants Board. Candidates can access the forms on MUST website or collect from the institution. The closing date for receiving the loan application form by the Board is 20th May 2016.
