ADVERT FOR 2016/17 CABMACC SCHOLARSHIP FOR LUANAR FEMALE UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) through the Capacity Building for Managing Climate Change (CABMACC) Programme in Malawi being funded by the Government of Norway and coordinated by the Programmes Coordination Office (PCO) is advertising scholarships for undergraduate female students pursuing their studies at LUANAR Bunda Campus for the 2016/2017 academic year.
GENERAL GUIDANCE
a. Only Year 1 female undergraduate students for Bunda Campus are eligible to apply
b. Mature and self-sponsored students should not apply.
c. 2015/16 students are considered as continuing CABMACC Scholarship beneficiaries and need not to apply.
d. Repeating students lose the benefits of the scholarship.
e. The awarding of these scholarships is governed by equal and fair competition, with respect to eligibility, evaluation and selection criteria, as well as award terms and conditions.
f. Priority for the scholarships will be given to students with socio-economic hardships and have evidence of having challenges to pay for their university education.
g. The scholarships will be awarded based on the university criteria and approved by the LUANAR Scholarship Committee and CABMACC Advisory Committee.
h. Successful candidates shall be required to submit progress reports to the University Registrar each semester.
GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP
a. Minimum GPA of 2.0 for Year 1;
b. Consideration of interview performance;
c. Consideration of socio-economic hardships; and
d. Consideration of discipline of specialization;
SCHOLARSHIP PACKAGE: Will be guided by University regulations and rules.
